Arkabutla Lake

Arkabutla Lake is a reservoir located in Tate County, Mississippi, United States. It was created in 1943 by the construction of a dam on the Coldwater River. The reservoir covers an area of more than 33,000 acres and has a shoreline of about 140 miles. It is a popular recreational area for fishing, boating, swimming, and other water activities. The lake is managed and maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
